Ministry of Foreign Affairs created, new minister appointed

WOTAN CITY, Lad. — After a 12 month delay due to the global pandemic, the Ladonia Cabinet announces the creation of a Ministry of Foreign Affairs and names Yvan Bertjens as the Minister of the department. Bertjens has served as the Ladonian Ambassador to Belgium since 2016, and was created a Duke of Ladonia that same year.

The new Ministry of Foreign Affairs will oversee and manage the growing pool of ambassadors, embassies and consulates around the world, and ensure that Ladonia’s diplomatic missions are on-boarded and supported in their endeavors. The ministry can be reached via email at [email protected] and will have offices in Belgium.

The new minister lives in the Flemish part of Belgium near the border with Germany and The Netherlands with his wife and small son.

“Back in 2016, shortly after my roadtrip through Scandinavia, I discovered Ladonia and its creativity, humor, free expression and values. As someone who’s actively working for the nature and environment and involved in various projects trying to make this world a better place, I want to use my organizational talent and communication skills to help evolve Ladonia to the next level.

“As the Minister of Foreign Affairs I want to represent Ladonia in the best possible way to other people and nations. For all Ladonian ambassadors around the world I want to be a mentor and support them in any way possible.”
