SJ: 3. Time is in the part, not in the whole

The Hedgehog clock, created by Minister James Hartman, is a sensitive comment on the philosophy of Novalis. Das allgemeine Brouillon, a collection of fragments by Novalis do not have too many readers today but there he expresses the thought that only the fragment has time. The Whole, the Absolute has no time. When time enters in the fragment it creates chaos, but in creating a new fragment it will be possible to show the existence of the Absolute in between these creations. That is from: one hedgehog to the next, look in between.
