No parrot minister

The Parrot Question

It has been extensively discussed in the cabinet whether or not we should appoint a parrot as minister. Thus following the concept from emperor Caligula who appointed a horse to consul. But the idea was already in use in the southern hemisphere as mentioned by S.P.A.Trollbinda-Honeytongue Eternal Minister of Procrastination & Poet Launderette:

“Australia has several parrots as ministers. Most of them speak with an American accent. The populace has become so used to them they can’t tell the difference between them and real people. In fact some have said there no real people left in parliament at all. Ladonia would be following a trend here, not starting one. This doesn’t seem very Ladonian to me.”

Very correct, minister, we wil NOT appoint a parrot.

This is NOT a minister in Ladonia but could be one in Australia
